It is an ancient tradition that on St. Martin’s Day, popularly known as Martinje, grape must is transformed into young wine. Since traditions should be honoured, a unique event called “Martinje in Pula” has been organized. This year, it will take place from 7 – 9 November at Giardini in the centre of Pula, from 6 pm to midnight.
During this three-day event, seven winemakers from southern Istria (Šegota, Benazić, Teraboto, Memento Moris, Dobran, Diković and Marčeta) will present their wines, while the special culinary offer will be provided by tavern “Danijela” from Betiga and “Nadine fritule”.
Excellent DJs will be in charge of setting up the mood: on Thursday, 7 November, DJ Fabris; on Friday, 8 November, DJ Nice, and on Saturday, 9 November, DJ Leon.
Everyone is welcome to taste the top-quality young wine from southern Istria, enjoy Istrian delicacies, and have fun accompanied by great music!
