IMPORTANT: Heavy road traffic in and around Zagreb, July 4-6

Important notice from the Croatian Automobile Club (HAK) regarding recommended travel methods and alternative routes for July 5, 2025.

On Saturday, July 5, 2025, a large open-air concert will be held in Zagreb during the evening hours. According to the organizers, approximately 500,000 visitors are expected to attend.

As a result, several days before the concert, and especially on the day of the event itself, July 5, 2025, heavy road traffic is expected on highways A2, A3, and A4 towards Zagreb from all directions, particularly from the south via highways A1 and A6, as well as on the Zagreb bypass.

On the night from Saturday to Sunday, July 5 to 6, 2025, following the concert, significant traffic congestion is expected. Therefore, the Croatian Automobile Club (HAK) strongly advises avoiding travel to and around Zagreb during this period.

Within the city of Zagreb, particularly heavy road and pedestrian traffic is anticipated. In addition, traffic disruptions are expected on certain city routes on July 4, 5, and 6, 2025, due to the implementation of temporary traffic regulations.

Given the expected congestion on major traffic routes, all tourists planning to travel by road through or past Zagreb during this period-whether traveling from their home countries to Croatian tourist destinations or returning from Croatia to their home countries-are advised to schedule their journey one or more days before Saturday, July 5, 2025.
