Taking place from 1 December 2024 to 6 January 2025, Advent in Pula brings exciting new things, and the one that stands out the most is the new location of the ice rink – in the ancient Roman Arena.
Visitors will be able to enjoy never-before-seen scenes and unique scenography handcrafted exclusively for the Arena. The space of the amphitheatre will be divided into several themes inspired by the rich history of the site. Unique light installations will include the legend of the fairies – the builders of the Arena, as well as elements inspired by gladiators. The sight of as much as 1,200 m² of snow-covered stone stands with 111 illuminated Christmas trees will leave many breathless.
The repertoire of Advent in Pula, at various locations in the city centre, will include numerous holiday programs focused on entertaining visitors of all ages with various concerts and specially designed programs for the youngest who will be able to visit the luxurious house of Santa Claus and Grandma Claus in the Graz City Park, hang out with elves, watch shows and enjoy sweets in the Advent houses. From 21 to 30 December, a free train will run through the city, including all Advent locations, giving additional charm to the holiday season.
The music program, at as many as three locations, will present a variety of performers, and at the most popular concert location – Portarata you will be able to enjoy the music of Jelusick, Rambo Amadeus, Livio Morosin Band, Nika Turković, Pavel, Arctic Monkeys tribute Stereo Deficit, Klapa Cambi, Denis & Denis, Queen Sensation, Freaktion, Pocket Palma, Kawasaki 3P, Urban & 4 and Konstrakta & Zemlja gruva. In the very heart of Pula, at Kaštel, the Sub Movements association made sure to enrich the Advent on 30 and 31 December with a program based on the local alternative music scene and bring the sound of reggae, electronic and dub music with Pulap Reaggae Station, Dubcat, Heavy Duty, Munchies, Laseech, Mr M and Manscream. The New Year’s noon show will be hosted by Mrle & Ivanka, while Elemental and Petar Grašo will be in charge of the real New Year’s countdown and welcoming the new 2025.
