Zwischen den Geb\u00e4uden um die Kapelle der hl. Maria Formosa wurden nach der Bombardierung im Zweiten Weltkrieg die \u00dcberreste der r\u00f6mischen Wohnh\u00e4usern mit Mosaiken, unter denen besonders wichtig das Mosaik mit der Hauptszene der mythologischen Erz\u00e4hlung der Bestrafung von Dirka, untersucht(Amfion i Zet binden Dirka, die aus Eifersucht ihre Mutter Antiopa gequ\u00e4lt hat, an einen wilden Stier). Die Mosaikszene ist im Mittelfeld des grossen Mosaikteppichs (12 x 6 m). Die ganze Fl\u00e4che ist in zwei gleiche Teile mit 40 Feldern, auf denen geometrische Motive mit Tierdetails \u00fcberwiegen (Fische und V\u00f6gel), geteilt. Das Mosaik deckte den Boden im Zentralraum eines r\u00f6mischen Wohnhauses, wahrscheinlich aus dem 3.Jh. Es wurde an der Stelle, wo es gefunden wurde, konserviert, so dass auch die Bodenebene der H\u00e4user in der r\u00f6mischen Zeit, die 2 m tiefer als heute lag, sichtbar ist.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
